As is the case for the entire exhibition, the aspect of time plays a major role. The arrangement acts like a narrative, revealing various aspects that must have existed just moments before: the woman wearing the old-fashioned fur jacket is no longer present. The coat rack and the small dresser quote a past epoch of living culture, examples of which are the cassette tape jam and a headrest from the 1970s. At the same time, the overlapping of the different layers of time inherent in the photograph as evidence of the presence of an object per se manifests in its moldy surface.
