The Exhibition:
In connection with the Brühl Art Association, the boardwalk is adapted to the architecture of the Old Locksmith's Shop and allows visitors to stroll past the letter "To Oliver" and two stamp stations to the photograph "Königssee" on the end wall. A sound composition distributed across eight speakers accompanies the journey.
Themes such as "setting out on a journey" and "off the beaten track or deviating from supposed guidelines" reflect an engagement with socially relevant issues. The letter "To Oliver" embodies a sense of futility, yet simultaneously pays homage to the handwritten letter as a kind of written travel diary. This edition, written specifically for the Art Association, is part of the catalog "Back-Return-Return," which accompanies the exhibition.
