Walking, hiking, running, walking, trekking, pilgrimage, escape… The direct experience of vast landscapes, without infrastructure and with a sense of one's own energy, but also of its limits, is at the heart of All Good Things Are Wild and Free. Hiking, pilgrimage, finding traces. It's about moving and being moved in nature, about pace and slowness, about finding and leaving traces, about setting out and arriving.

The direct experience of the vastness of the landscape, without infrastructure and with the awareness of one's own energy, but also of its limits, is at the heart of All Good Things Are Wild and Free. The starting point is ephemeral interventions in the landscape, such as those that have emerged since the 1960s, but also instructions, video works, audio walks, conceptual works, photography and painting by international artists. Historical, political, ecological and social aspects play a role – from pilgrimage and experiences of displacement to activism and ecology, and questions about the accessibility of public space.
